Okay, okay -- the sad fact is that 44% of marriages end in divorce. On the other hand, the remaining 56% end in death, so maybe we got off lucky after all. Consider the activities below if you are looking for ways to enjoy the new life before you.
The following groups and activities don't exactly fit into the singles category, but certainly welcome single people along with everyone else -- and won't care if you come alone. If you are looking for new groups of people and new things to do, here's a place to start. We definitely welcome suggestions for this page!

Conversation Cafe
various local coffee shops -- check out the web site for meeting places:
www.conversationcafe.org
What is a Conversation Café? It is a one-and-a-half hour
hosted conversation, held in a public setting like a café, where anyone
is welcome to join. A simple format helps people feel at ease and gives
everyone who wants it a chance to speak. At Conversation Cafés, everyone
is "the talk show"—and it's also fine for people to simply listen.
Why Conversation Cafés? Because when you put strangers, caffeine
and ideas in the same room, brilliant things can happen. For that very
reason, the British Parliament banned coffeehouses in the 1700s as hotbeds
of sedition. Might we brew up a similar social liveliness now? With democracy,
critical thinking and "the ties that bind" all under siege, this may be
the most radical cup of coffee you ever drink.
