Internet Discussion Groups

Moderated discussion groups

Since the Internet has helped break up so many marriages, it's only fair we give it a chance to help pick up the pieces...

You can use your browser to visit web-based discussion groups on the web sites below. Several of the general divorce-related sites listed in Internet Resources host discussion groups, as well.

www.groups.yahoo.com -- numerous moderated family- & relationship-related discussion groups
www.about.com -- the same, also moderated.

Newsgroups

Newsgroups work like a public bulletin board: you post a question or comment to the group, and whoever wants to respond can do so, either privately to you by e-mail or publicly to the group.

Some newsgroups are moderated, which means that posts are screened for appropriateness. Most groups are not moderated, however, so anything that anyone posts is available to all, whether it has anything to do with the subject of the group or not. Such spam posts sometimes contain material or links to web sites that some will find objectionable.

For this and other reasons, Internet service providers sometimes limit access to newsgroups, so not all the following groups might be available to you. Use a newsreader program like Microsoft Outlook Express, Netscape Messenger, or Eudora to visit the newsgroups below:
